XISTO: ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY (AUP)

INTRODUCTION

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and standards governing the use of all services provided by XISTO, including but not limited to Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, VPS Hosting, Dedicated Servers, Business Email Services, Domain Services, Website Hosting, Cloud Infrastructure, and all related products.

The purpose of this policy is to protect the stability, security, performance, and reputation of the XISTO network while ensuring a safe and reliable environment for all customers.

By using any XISTO service, you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy in addition to our Terms of Service and any service-specific agreements that may apply.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in warnings, service suspension, service termination, data removal, or reporting to relevant authorities where appropriate.


OUR PHILOSOPHY

XISTO was founded on the principle that hosting should remain open, flexible, and useful for legitimate businesses, developers, organizations, and individuals.

We welcome a wide variety of lawful activities including:

Our goal is not to restrict legitimate activity. These policies exist to protect customers from abuse that negatively impacts network stability, performance, security, or legal compliance.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers are responsible for:

• All activities originating from their account

• Maintaining secure passwords

• Securing applications and websites

• Keeping software updated

• Monitoring account activity

• Ensuring hosted content complies with applicable laws

• Preventing unauthorized access to services

Customers remain responsible for the actions of employees, contractors, users, developers, administrators, or any third party granted access to their account.


ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES

XISTO services may not be used for any activity that violates local, national, or international laws.

Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:

• Fraudulent activity

• Identity theft

• Financial scams

• Money laundering

• Unauthorized access to systems

• Sale or distribution of illegal goods

• Criminal conspiracy

• Distribution of stolen information

• Forged documents

• Unauthorized interception of communications

Any activity determined to be unlawful may result in immediate suspension without notice.


NETWORK ABUSE

Customers may not engage in activities that disrupt, interfere with, or negatively affect network operations.

Prohibited activities include:

• Denial of Service (DoS) attacks

• Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks

• Participation in botnets

• Traffic flooding

• Reflection attacks

• Amplification attacks

• Unauthorized port scanning

• Network reconnaissance

• Vulnerability scanning of systems without authorization

• Packet spoofing

• Routing manipulation

• Interference with network services

Any activity that threatens network stability may result in immediate mitigation or suspension.


SECURITY ABUSE

XISTO services may not be used to compromise the security of any person, organization, or system.

Examples include:

• Unauthorized access attempts

• Password cracking

• Credential harvesting

• Exploitation of vulnerabilities

• Brute force attacks

• Circumvention of security controls

• Session hijacking

• Exploitation of software weaknesses

• Unauthorized account access

Customers operating VPS or Dedicated Servers must maintain reasonable security standards and take prompt action when vulnerabilities are identified.


MALWARE AND HARMFUL SOFTWARE

The following content is strictly prohibited:

• Viruses

• Worms

• Trojans

• Ransomware

• Spyware

• Keyloggers

• Rootkits

• Backdoors

• Botnet software

• Malicious scripts

• Malware distribution platforms

• Malware command-and-control systems

Accounts involved in malware distribution may be suspended immediately to protect other users and network infrastructure.


PHISHING AND FRAUD

Phishing activities are strictly prohibited.

Examples include:

• Fake login pages

• Credential collection websites

• Impersonation websites

• Banking fraud

• Cryptocurrency scams

• Social engineering attacks

• Identity theft schemes

• Fake payment portals

• Fraudulent customer support websites

XISTO maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward phishing and related fraudulent activity.


EMAIL USAGE POLICY

Email services must be used responsibly.

Prohibited activities include:

• Spam

• Unsolicited bulk email

• Purchased mailing lists

• Email harvesting

• Open relay abuse

• Mass marketing without consent

• Forged email headers

• Email reputation abuse

• Blacklist-generating activity

Customers are responsible for maintaining compliant mailing practices.

Repeated complaints may result in email service restrictions or suspension.


RESOURCE USAGE POLICY

Shared Hosting and Reseller Hosting services are designed primarily for website hosting purposes.

Accounts may not be used primarily as:

• File storage repositories

• Backup-only platforms

• Media archives unrelated to hosted websites

• Public download mirrors

• Data warehousing systems

• Content distribution systems beyond intended plan capabilities

Resource allocation must remain within the limits of the purchased service.


CRYPTOCURRENCY AND MINING

The following activities are prohibited on Shared Hosting and Reseller Hosting services:

• Cryptocurrency mining

• Distributed mining participation

• Mining pools

• Resource-intensive blockchain processing

• Unauthorized blockchain node operation

Such workloads may only be permitted on approved VPS or Dedicated Server services where resources have been specifically allocated.


COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Customers must respect intellectual property rights.

Prohibited activities include:

• Copyright infringement

• Software piracy

• Unauthorized media distribution

• Distribution of cracked software

• Counterfeit products

• Trademark violations

• Unauthorized content redistribution

XISTO responds to valid intellectual property complaints in accordance with applicable laws.


ADULT CONTENT

Lawful adult content may be permitted on certain services where legally allowed and compliant with all applicable regulations.

However, the following are strictly prohibited:

• Illegal content

• Exploitative content

• Non-consensual material

• Content involving minors

• Human trafficking content

• Any content prohibited by applicable law

Violations result in immediate account termination and reporting where required.


VPS AND DEDICATED SERVER RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers using VPS or Dedicated Servers are granted increased flexibility and control.

With that control comes additional responsibility.

Customers are expected to:

• Secure operating systems

• Install updates and patches

• Monitor logs

• Maintain firewall configurations

• Prevent abuse originating from their servers

• Respond promptly to abuse reports

• Protect authentication systems

Failure to address abuse or security issues may result in temporary mitigation measures to protect network infrastructure.


DDOS PROTECTION POLICY

XISTO deploys advanced DDoS mitigation technologies to protect hosted services.

However:

• No mitigation system can guarantee protection against every attack scenario

• Customers remain responsible for application-level security

• Certain attack types may require temporary traffic filtering or mitigation actions

Our objective is always to maintain service availability while protecting network stability.


FAIR USE PRINCIPLE

The majority of customers use resources responsibly.

To ensure fair access for everyone, XISTO reserves the right to investigate activities that consume excessive resources or negatively impact platform performance.

Where practical, customers will be advised regarding optimization opportunities or service upgrades before restrictions are applied.

Our goal is to support growth rather than impose unnecessary limitations.


ABUSE REPORTING

Customers and third parties may report abuse through XISTO support channels.

Examples include:

• Spam complaints

• Security incidents

• Malware reports

• Copyright claims

• Fraud reports

• Network abuse reports

All reports are reviewed by our operations team.


ENFORCEMENT

XISTO reserves the right to take appropriate action when violations occur, including:

• Issuing warnings

• Limiting services

• Suspending services

• Terminating services

• Removing harmful content

• Reporting illegal activity

Actions taken will depend on the severity and urgency of the situation.


POLICY CHANGES

This Acceptable Use Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in technology, security requirements, legal obligations, and operational practices.

Updated versions become effective upon publication.

Continued use of XISTO services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.


FINAL STATEMENT

The purpose of this Acceptable Use Policy is not to restrict legitimate business activity but to ensure a safe, stable, secure, and reliable hosting environment for all customers.
